so my boss litterly needs a straight jacket. today she wasnt even suppose to be at work, and she kept showing up, then she walked in once looked at me and goes "miss can i use your bathroom" and i just looked at her like what the hell. cuz umm thats just crazy. okay granted shes crazy, but still its odd dealing with her now. she was fine up till a few weeks ago when she snapped and was institutionalized.
anyway so after a long tedious day at work, and going to an opening at a different gallery i decided the best thing to do to cheer myself up would be go to the museum and look at my favourite degas ballerina sculpture. degas always puts me in a good mood, and i want one of those sculptures so badly i could cry. even just one of the reproductions they sell. anyway. hanging out and staring at that pretty ballerina and then walking all around the museum was nice with the lack of people on a thursday.
i want to camp out at the museum. i also really enjoy walking around and listening to people talk about the art. you can get some good laughs. this always cheers me up. also the stupid comment i heard while i was at work today also made me laugh for like 5 minutes and that was good too. "yeah, i have a photographic memory. when i want to remember something, i just imagine myself writting it down" funniest thing ever!

You work in a Gallery? Cool... I'm a Fine Art grad and I used to work in a gallery too until I got pissed off with my very own crazy (read alcoholic manic depressive junkie) boss. i guess working in the art world, its somehting you just have to expect and deal with.
But I love people watching at openings. I think its kind of disrespectful to the art/artist to try and look at it when there are thousands of people there, you've had a drink and its completely impossible to concentrate on it, and I hate the whole networking thing, so most of the time, i just sit back and laugh at everyone trying to impress everyone else...
