Well, my date with holly went very well. We went to toronto, walked, ate, drank, and caught a killed act at the cameron house. On our way to the train station we bumped into my sis and her boytoy, which was quite surprising.
Holly had to go home as she needed to get up tuesday morning, well before the sun to work on a new film she's directing, but I had plenty of time and nothing to do with it, so I ended up sticking around in toronto for the last couple of days.
When I got the bus home last night I was in such a deadly need to piss that pretty much as soon as we got into the outskirts of downtown hamilton I rang that fucking bell and got off. I waited for the bus to pass by before ducking into the closest dark parking lot before letting one of the most pleasureable streams warm the frosted ashphalt.
Then I walked the five early blocks over to the pepper jack cafe and was asked to play a few songs for the open mic. I did and it was quite fun. I played three songs which I had yet to finish, both with the guitar and the actual lyrics, so in true form I just made it up. I got a fairly good response, and made my old friend Robyn Lee quite happy. He's a blues/folk guitarist in his fourties who used to always come watch me play, but we hadn't seen eachother play in well over a year and a half. So, it was great to play at the same venue again.
I spent way too much money in toronto....money that was intended for other things.
Anyway, here's my shopping list.
Nine guitar picks (desparately needed)
Black shirt with a zombie on it
Black shirt with a screen from Space Invaders on it. (awesome)
Brown shirt that says,' Clockwork Orange'
A black touque with ear flaps +
black mits (Oh man it's getting cold)
A load of sushi (from sushi queen, on Queen street....so fucking good)
beer
other food
