Correct. But you don't kill Beatrice. We live in a flawed world, and we are all flawed. If you (as I and Dante do) believe in the Christian God, then there is a perfection beyond this world. But never blame anyone for being human. Don't pretend you can find perfection in this life. That was (is) the huge mistake of the Marxists (and many others), thinking we can become ideal in this life. We can't.
