Heyho. My roommate was bored and wanted to watch a movie. He wanted to watch The Prestige, but I just watched it less then a week ago, so he decided we should watch something else instead. So we watched The Marine. The WWE movie starring John Cena. My god. It's like they took Cena, hopped in a time machine, went back into the 80's, made a movie, then returned it to modern times to unleash it upon us. Every 80's action movie cliche was alive and well. I probably wouldn't have sat through the whole thing if it wasn't so mesmerizingly cheese.
He is now watching the Suicide Girls on Showtime, by the way.
Finally got around to seeing the Tenacious D movie last night, as I missed it in the theaters (it was there for what, maybe 2 weeks?). Classic. Fucking classic. It was one of the few movies that I actually sat and watched all the extras for, turning into less of a hour and half movie into a nearly four hour event. Obviously, Tenacious D is funny, but the involvement of Director Liam Lynch only helped make it more awesomely rad. I've enjoyed Liam Lynch's stuff ever since I randomly discovered Sifl & Olly at 4 in the morning on MTV years ago, and it's just too bad that his work doesn't seem to make any money, because it's great and I'd love to see more of it.
Finished Crackdown this past weekend. Amazing game, though I really hope they have some downloadable game content soon, because it's way too fun to end when it does. I hope that if you're one of those people who bought it for the included Halo 3 beta that you at least give the game a fair shot. Building a character into a building bounding, ace sharpshooting, master exploding monster of a cop through iron-fisted law enforcement is classic fun.
Oh yeah, my website
I HEART DISAPPOINTMENT is up. Shameless plugging FTW.
