Did a presentation on my work at a hot lab today. It went pretty well and I got some good questions and feedback. It is under the Harvard Medical School doing protein-protein interaction work. Everyone seemed nice and it would be a fantastic place to work professionally. I'm hoping I can start working with them very part time or as a consultant since I really do like my current job and have a lot of loyalty to my boss, who has been a real mentor to me. But I'm going to need to move in the not too distant future so ... we'll see what happens.

Also had a great technical meeting tonight. The presenter is an editor for a Perl magazine and was very interested in getting me to write about a couple of my projects and offered to help me. Which is good - I need a patient editor and a lot of tutoring!

Anyway, all that and a good beer! So far a great day! Nighters!
