Why can't anyone explain to us how disability works?
I get "you get 75% of your pay" for one source, "55% from their site", today is a furlough day so I can't call and ask anyone, no one can tell me how long it takes for all the paper work to get through.
Even if we do get 75% minus that one week they take out it's not enough to cover our bills let alone feed ourselves. We'd be $371 short ($690 short if it's 55%) Where the hell are we supposed to get that money from, our families are just as broke as we are.
Maybe we shouldn't file for disability, maybe he should just work with a cut in his arm.
He's stressing and I am stressing cause he is stressing and no one can answer our questions for us.

I think that it's 2/3 of your pay. I remember when my boss injured himself and that's what he got.

Can't you call anyone who is going to work on your file and see what they say? The internet isn't always that reliable... :/
