Here's the story:

Recently , I discovered my office manager was signing out and leaving early but changing the computers so she still docked full-time hours. She was not reprimanded other than losing a day of work. When confronted about it I truthfully told my big boss that I knew about it and that it had been occurring for the last 6 months or so ( to save my ass of not reporting inappropriate behavior within the work place) . He guaranteed me that he would not disclose to her that I was the culprit , although during a meeting with her, I heard her say "I would like to know how she saw me change the clocks! " kind of sounds like he said something right? mad

Well since then she has cut my hours , 6hrs per week- ( that's $100 off my pay cheque) , and taken me from my desk and put me at the front of the office so I would have more patients administering through me ( more work and knew it would piss me off) , amongst other little things to make me angry.

She and I used to be friends ( biggest mistake) and she told me that my boss used to send her inappropriate sexual messages and she had him by the balls if he ever tried to fire her... hmmwhatever

And so now Im getting fired because I was looking for a another job , because I am unable to cover my bills any longer, due to the cuts they made. Apart from this, I was not looking for jobs on company time nor was any of the comments he claimed I made on facebook , posted while I was working for him.
I was never issued a single warning.
I have been employed here for over a year.
All I can say is LABOUR BOARD!!!

I feel much better than I did earlier thanks to the loads of good friends I have and an amazing boyfriend who has made me feel so much better. Im trying to see the positive in this. Maybe this is a time to find a GREAT career! Maybe go back to school! At very least I get some time off . Im a hard worker and it will be so nice just to relax and watch some Oprah before she retires!!!

I have already applied for unemployment insurance ( Ive paid enough towards that in my life and never used it yet!!) and I will be calling the Labour regulations board tomorrow.

I also have time to go get my ankle looked at and hopefully not have a blood clot smile haha
Thanks everyone for giving if anything, the smallest little shit about me today- As much as SG frustrates me I've met some awesome people.



And so today I called the Labor Relations Board and was told that if I was given a weeks severance pay he can fire me for whatever. no notice nothing. I asked the girl "so if he didnt like the colour of my shoes and fired me , as long as he paid me the minium in severance pay ( can be less than what you make in a week) he has the right to fire me? " She told me that is absolutly true.

WTF?!!! My only other option is to contact a lawyer and fight this legally. Well to contact a lawyer it is a 1-900 number I need to phone and how the fuck do they think I can afford a lawyer when I just became UNEMPLOYED!!! argh so frustrating!!!

On top of that I found out last night just HOW he managed to find out about my facebook updates.
Apparantly, a friend of mine from a previous job became friends with my manager.

Now just a break down on this : my manager and I were friends before she became my manager. We had worked together at another optometrist office in the past and got along great.
I would go out for dinner and parties with the girls from my previous work and always invite my "manager". This is how she got to become acquaintances with those girls including a girl name Veronica.
I only ever knew them as aquintances, they never even added each other to facebook.

Now going back, somehow they became better friends then I was led to believe. I actually didnt know they kept in contact at all. ( like I said they werent even facebook friends) but Veronica and I were. She saw every thing I had to say about my job. As well months ago, I had asked her to keep an eye out for possible job openings. She was my managers gopher!!! She told her EVERYTHING!!! And neither of them told me they were friends so that I would continue to tell Veronica things about Connie ( my manager) and let me tell you I've called her trash , discusting, old withered hag EVERYTHING hahahaha .

How fucked up is that!!?? Its so true you cannot trust ANYONE! I was just sooo shocked....

Anyways, still trying to keep positive. Im going grocery shooping for my weight watchers friendly meals i must eat and get this gnarly ankle looked at!

And so now Im poor maybe someone can help me pay bill? Love on it smile
