OMG!!!!! There are days that I am happy to have the job I do and then theres today. 7am this morning I get a call informing me that the doctor is ill and I must get in early (well b4 9am) to reschedule my days worth of patients.
Im fucking dead tired and i now have to wake up earlier than normal to go to work on a Saturday. lm pissed. So knowing that I have to take the bus i find out that the next bus is coming in less than 30 mins ( its 730am at this point ) so I force my ass to get ready in 15 minutes and run to my bus stop. So i live in Canada and the weather today is -13c (feels like -25c) i dont know what that is in Fahrenheit but its fucking cold!!!!!
So my bus is to arrive at 8am and I am ready and waiting at my stop at five mins to 8am. 2 buses that were not in service pass by ( fucking teasing bitches) and there was no bus that showed up unitl 8:19am!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im fucking pissed and freezing!!!!! I get to my next stop which is the local transit terminal and I get there at 8:25am. I discover that the next bus i need to catch in fact arrives at 8:23am and the next one does not come until 8:54am.
Im pissed, freezing and will not be at my office in time to cancel the patients let alone the patients due to arrive at 9am! I fucking hate buses.
So all this bullshit- waking up earlier, being cold , traveling and I still get to work at the same time.
And when I get into work I have to call and cancel everyones appointments. Most people were understanding except this Nigerian man who think im bullshitting and is insisting he is coming in Doctor or no doctor. I tell him I am absolutely performing no sort of eye exam for him and hes wasting his time if he does arrive. Instead I offer to book him an appointment at an office I used to work for that I know is open on Saturdays as well. He insists on coming in to discuss. He eventually does. We prove our point there is no doctor by the soundlessness of the office - he at last believes im not fucking with him and he goes on his way.
Its 12:25pm and this is my day so far.......
