who's to say? who's to judge the quality of my friends? who's to try and rationalize with me all the reasons why hes not a good friend, and doesn't even know the person? it makes me feel like friendship is bought and sold and should be selective and exclusive. (this is the epitomy of pretentious dallas) it makes me question. what is friendship?
should it have standards and guidlines? do friends come in makes and models and have different values? does friendship have a shelflife or a quality control sticker? should i mark friendship with a counterfeit pen?
friendship just is. maybe its naive, but friendship to me holds no conditions. it doesnt have to look, taste, touch, or smell a certain way. if i believe the person is kind and caring (even thru a rough fasawd (sp)) and especially if i felt like they would have my back at any point....THEY ARE MY FRIEND!
