Ok......whew what a day....

I got a REAL...yes, REALLY REAL job offer today....from my friend Jamie's Dad.....
He does something with UV reactive/interactive dyes of or something....He needs someone to come in and do Quality Control for some of the new things he's patenting, and to do some actual patent work. I have to fax my CV over to him tonight and hopefully I'll be meeting with him to discuss times and stuff...

It's just part-time to start...but it's a foot in the door, and may turn to full time when he gets his new lab up and running. Yay!

I guess I need to keep focusing on this as something positive going on with me. I had a big realization last night that I am who I am....and moving to a new place doesn't necessarily change anything....
I guess I was thinking I'd move here and suddenly be some different person...more exotic, more mysterious, more something....instead, I'm just old dorky me....

kinda depressing.

In other news, I must venture into the outback again this evening for my current occupation as purveyor of crappy steaks and blooming onions.
And depend on the generosity (sic) of the residents of Palm Beach County.....

yeah, and I thought it was just KIND of depressing.....now I know exactly what kind.....the greasy, shitty kind....

On the flip side, Box Elder is playing tomorrow night at the Orange Door in Lake Worth FL.....
I've got the night off, I might just get froggy and head over there....
