Greetings, SG Land!
Ever get the feeling that you're in over your head? I'm beginning to suspect that I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew this semester...five classes (fifteen hours' worth), an almost-full-time job, an apartment to maintain, and a cat, an iguana, and two houseplants to worry myself with...yikes.
I need to be working on a paper right now. Well, two papers, actually...one dealing the impact that Strom Thurmond had on Southern politics and another explaining the insights into African history and culture that can be gleaned from Chinua Achebe's novel Things Fall Apart.
Yes, both are major papers, and yes, both are due this week. And tomorrow is the only day off work I'll have all week, too...yay.
Oh, well. Screw it all. The Saints are playing on Monday Night Football right now, and I've been a Saints fan since long before there ever was any such thing as the "Carolina Panthers." You've got to keep your priorities in order, you know.
Well, at least now y'all know. If GiddyIguana version 2.0 seems to be online a little more infrequently than his previous incarnation, well, at least there's a very good explanation. Don't think I love y'all any less just because I'm not leaving snarky remarks in your journals on an almost-daily basis. Keep the love and encouragement coming...it's all greatly appreciated!
