Yeah, I know I suck. It's FRIDAY, and I haven't updated this thing since Sunday night. Well, between work, school, family nonsense, my friends' crisis-filled existences, and plain old lack of inspiration, I've neither had the time nor the material to sit down and actually write out another update.

So, here instead are a list of briefs (No, you can't wear these...besides, I wear boxers.)

Bud is no longer my concern. I got really lucky: I found this guy who lives on a fifty-acre farm in Williston (which is the next town over) who just so happens to keep reptiles. He's got a 150-gallon aquarium with all the bells and whistles that I have neither the space nor the money for, and, inexplicably, actually liked the ill-tempered Bud.

Though, in fairness, Bud is far from a 'bad' iguana. He's just a sexually mature male iguana who's doing exactly what sexually mature male iguanas do; namely, set up his own territory and get rid of all potential rivals. It's really not his fault: his 'bad' behaviour stemmed from not having enough space and having to share it with another mature male iguana. Stress, and fighting, was inevitable. But now he's got a great big new place to call his own, with someone who knows and understands what to do with him. As much as I hated to get rid of him...I know he's in a better situation now.

And, of course, I still have the appropriately-named Jinx, missing toes and all.

I got to attend a training seminar hosted by Goodyear Tire yesterday. Except for the whole having to get up at 5 am and the whole getting lost in Columbia three times, it was pretty good. Got a day off work (!), got to meet some interesting new people, and got to hear a Goodyear representative admit that the company has been doing a LOT wrong business-wise the last few years and explain what they're going to do to try to fix the situation. All in all, a sucessful day.

Speaking of work, the annual Strobel Tire Oyster Roast is tomorrow in Summerville. Just what I wanted to do: spend my whole day with tire jockeys, gearheads, and other miscellaneous rednecks. But hey, it beats spending all Saturday at home, and it'll be a good opportunity to suck up to the guys from corporate headquarters. Only problem is, I was a DISMAL failure at getting someone to go with me. (Mandy never called me back, and none of my other friends live anywhere nearby... frown ) And nearly everyone in the company who knows me is convinced I'm either gay or a Communist (possibly both), so showing up alone (as usual) isn't going to do anything to quell the rumours.

And, it's late and I'm tired (what else is new?), so I'm going to wrap this up. I'll write more the next time I get a chance. Probably either Monday or Tuesday, since I've got an exam in Sociology on Monday afternoon.
