Whoa, I just found out this party I'm spinnin at next month is way more of a big thing than I had thought. My boy is trying to make real nice flyers and posters to hit the city with. It will start off during the day with a free raw food lunch and this guy will be there to give some talk on the benefits of this diet and all that. Then there will be an art show of sorts from several people and later on a couple different bands will play, with me and this other guy splitting sets in between bands. For my first time playing out this is more serious than I had hoped, but fuck it it will be fun, my boy has stacks and stacks of old funk over there and along with what I got and will be getting before then I think I'll have plenty of good shit to keep it live. The place the party is at is real cool too, three of my friends have a dope loft downtown and the walls and ceilings and pillars are covered in works of art from lots of different people.

I skated down there last night, took the hills and just flowed, it felt good. It's such a jungle here right now, I couldn't stop sweating for a good half an hour after I got there. It was nice to see some friends I haven't seen in a while along with new faces that were positive. This party is gonna be a lot of fun.
