One month out.......

Ok so I have one month to the biggest grappling tournament of the year, and 6 weeks out from a fight. Time to get my ass in gear and start prepping. I just got back from the grocery store and Vitamin Shoppe picking up everything I need to start my diet.

I usually hate the weeks leading up to a competition, mostly because the physical stuff really takes it's toll and being hungry blows. This time I am looking at it as a chance to cut all the bullshit out of my life. No more parties, late nights, girls anything that can take my focus off what I need to do I am cutting out. I went for a long walk on the beach last night to clear my head, and it started raining HARD. Normally I would run for the car but for some reason last night I just laughed and sat there. It was actually pretty nice.

I have to find my song for this camp.not necessarily my entrance music (I always use "Unbroken" by Monster Magnet for that) but just something I can use to push through all the crap involved. I want something dark..anyone got any suggestions? What gets you pumped up?

I am so happy June is over. I'm not one to complain but it was a rough ass month. Bad breakup, family problems, insanity at work, and the "icing on the ice cream" which is one of the worst things that ever happened to me (I spare people getting into the details).

Muai Thai fight...would rather it be MMA but I'm just taking what I can get at the moment. Plus exposure is exposure, and I really gotta work my stand-up more. Only so long I am going to get away with clinch, takedown, punch, repeat.

MMA has to get sanctioned in NY this lack of local opportunity is shitty.
