I've had the same stupid cough for over a week now, and its irritating the shit out of me.
Im beginning to think its not just a cold, and its actually some strain of gross New Jersey disease I picked up in the flood waters.
It wouldnt surprise me.

Other than that, life if moving along pretty well.
I went back to Maryland for my friend Randall's 21st birthday.

On my way up there, I was driving on the parkway, and if any of you reading this live in New Jersey, you know how absolutely crazy this next part of my story is...

I was driving and this guy drives next to me and I glance over at him and hes yelling something to me.. so I figure sometimes is wrong with my car or something.. so I turn down my music and Im trying to hear him and he goes..
"DO YOU WANT TO GRAB A BITE TO EAT?!"
Or at least thats what I thought he said.. and I was like.. "No, Im going to Maryland."

So.. I get off onto the Turnpike, and I see him coming down off the ramp and he drives up next to me again and waves, and Im like ugh.. oh man. Creepy stalker, Im going to die on the NJ Turnpike.. but no he just went on his merry way. So.. Im driving some more and I catch up to him and he starts talking to me FROM HIS CAR! On the Turnpike doing excessive speeds, so finally I just got him to yell me his number so I could call him from my car.. whatever, he was cute, and Im single.. so, he told me he thought I was gorgeous and he wanted to have lunch with me, but now I made him miss his exit lol. So long story short, we had lunch at a rest stop, and it was cute, but insanely awkward.



Other than that.. aside from seeing my BFF, the weekend was pretty busted. Thats huge a disappointment for me considering I usually have the time of my life there.
Its just that Im coming to realize that putting up with some of my friends shit just really isnt worth it to me anymore.
Theres only one thing I really want for my birthday this year and I know I wont get it, because the majority of my friends wont put in the same effort into our friendships that I do...

My family is going away to Mexico the week of my birthday and Im staying home.
All I want is for my MD friends to come here and spend one night with me.
Just see how my life is here.
I've been back in Jersey for 2 years now, and 2 of my friends have come to visit. 2.

Yes, believe me.. I know that people have jobs and lives and everything else, but umm hello!? So do I. I work 6 days a week, and go to school full time. Thats more than pretty much all of my friends combined, so what gives? Its not like you dont have all year to take a weekend off work. You know when my birthday is..
I find the time to drive down there once a month to keep in touch with everybody. I asked one night of the whole year and people still cant swing it.
Frankly, Im quite disappointed in most of them.. not all, but most.
Such is life I suppose.




PS - Somebody find me a funny, slightly chubby skateboarder with a beard, and preferably a mohawk and glasses.

That is my dream man.
