As heartened as I am by the renewed interest in the environment, it is sad to me how much is based on fear and how many 'solutions' are based only in a different kind of materialism. Particularly when each of us knows how simple it is, after a walk outside, to fall in love with what we may lose.

it does suck, a major pain to deal with. but i've already got some revenge right from the start, since the person tried to take my spots in the classes but failed miserably since the classes were all still full once i was dropped from em [since special permission numbers had been given to allow more people into the course even though it was showing up as full in the system].
