Fourth of July here, and in Southern California, every neighborhood is BLASTING fireworks for most of the night. As powerful and bright as they all are, there must be some secret source where people can spend all that money to make the bigBOOM-BOOM!! As I'm typing this right now, it's almost 10:30 at night... non stop blasts going on outside. Some that even rattle the...

I hope that you can also say that you had a great man in your life that you called, father. I am proud of my heritage and the man who raised me... taught me... structured my life as a boy... and served as motivator and constant encouragement in my life. I owe him SO much, but miss him since the only part of him left...

Entertaining myself and experimenting with a phone app, I shop'd this caricature face of me over the original. I don't think it looks like me, but it's funny to mess with. I hope you're having a good day and this made you laugh a little.

@niffler @rubymoon On that caricature, I feel like I look like "The Rock's" older, nerdy, not as good looking brother.  LOL!

As promised, I'm posting images now that I have finished (just this morning) building her. I love this guitar!! I strung her up this morning and plugged in to the amp... sounding awesome!! It's the work you do that makes one realize why the pros charge what they do to do these things for you. Things like all the neck and fret adjustments can take...

Haven't posted here in awhile. I got caught up in projects around the house... I'll update on that in another post. But back around the holidays, I purchased a kit on sale and have finally gotten around to working on it now. Today, I glued in the neck. I'm excited to start installing all the rest of the components. I have named her "Sirena"... I...

My Dad originally bought it from another man for $75.00. I remember my Dad telling me this, but I had never seen the guitar. It was years ago and I had completely forgotten about it, and after they (parents) had both passed, we found it as we were sorting through what they left behind. I almost discarded this junked guitar, until I remembered what it...

As is any member here, I am a fond admirer of the female form. It is also evident in my photography. But in posing guitars with models in my shoots, I am asked about my collection of guitars and my history in music. So, I will share with you a little more about myself.

Like my father before me, I was introduced and involved in...

I love guitars!! They're beautiful. And even though I can't play for shit, I still love my collection. My two recent shoots allowed me to pose a couple of them with a model. The (sea foam teal) Fender Electric XII is a rare 1960s guitar, posed with Liz. And the Budget (Blue) Squire Bass that I modified and made better in held by a new...

Now that I finally got around to shooting again, I post more pics! I hadn't posed a model with this Prince Tribute Guitar I built awhile back. I like the way this one turned out. Played with effects and applied some selective color back into the B&W image, and then added a gritty brown, grunge effect. I hope you like it Model credit: Liz Ashley

Since I finally got around to setting up a photo shoot, I also got the chance to use the ring light my wifey got me way back at Christmas time. I really like how the ring reflects back in the model's eyes... it's a cool bonus effect of using the light. I'll have to do some close-ups to get a more prominent view of the...
