The last two days reminded me not only do I love what I do, but I have the best job in the world.

Last night, well, it was the best Halloween I've ever had. It was fun as shit in the kitchen. My Sous chef was in a dress, heels, and yellow fishnet to say the least. We went out drinking with the entire staff and had an absolute blast.

Tonight? Tonight was something special. Uneventful night at work, everyone heading home. I decided to do the same and stopped off at Anchovies and Olives for the first time ever. Sat down at the bar, and just ordered a drink and a small amount of food. Realized the guy sitting beside me was an old chef buddie of Siebs, my last boss, and started chatting with him. I start chatting and making friends with the entire staff. They invite me to sit down and have family (they're shift meal) with them, and just be part of the group. A group of complete strangers, took me in, and became friends with me for the sole fact I worked in the same industry. It warmed my heart, and made me feel at home. It was kind of touching to me. I love this industry I work in.

Life is not only good, it's amazing.
