Yesterday was a very good day. The best I've had in awhile.
Woke up late, feeling good. Thank god that awful hangover was finally gone. It was a beautiful day so I walk down to the Post Office and get some errands done, then sit outside and get some lunch with Miles. We talk and enjoy the weather. I grab a cup of coffee and cuddle up with it on a couch in a cafe and enjoy my book.
Then! I head to Seattle and snag Adalae. One of the few times I didn't get lost going to find someone. It was a miracle (but I make up for it later..) We swing over to Freemont so I can show her the huge troll there.
Afterwards it's off to Dinner. We swing by How to Cook a Wolf and theres gonna be over a hour wait, so we head up the street to Bricco (An Italian Wine bar Miles and Debbie went to earlier when Debbie was visiting) and had some cheese while waiting for our table. I get the phone call and we swing back over to How to Cook a Wolf. I love little things about working in the industry. When Adalae ordered wine he just took her order, brought out the wine, put it down infront of her "You..are 21 right?" "Oh? you want to see my I.D?" "Oh no I know where he works" That and the free food.
The food was phenomenal. Castelvetrano Olives, Scallops with a white bean and porcini puree, Linquine with Clams and wine and red chili flakes (which was too spicey for Adalae), Bucatini with Wild Boar Bolognese. Then right when we're about to order some dessert, our server (who was the bartender last time we were there) said Jason wanted to send us out some cheese if we were still hungry. They sent us out a fucking brick of Le Tour, a cheese we had at Union and is fucking amazing. It was huge, usually places send out 1 or 2 ounces of cheese, they sent us like 6. or 7. One of those great moments where you put a piece of this cheese in your mouth and your whole facial expression kind of melts into this half mouth-orgasm and you can't help but let out a little moan of delight.
Either way. Dinner was great. I had a lot of fun with Adalae. It's really nice being able to go out with people who really love food. I need more friends who love food. Actually? Scratch that I don't cause I would have no money. I just wish I had more friends who loved food and had more money.
On the way back we got very lost. I took a wrong turn before going down the hill, and ended up in some residential area by the water. After some guessing and confusion and adventuring on our part I make our way down the hill, and then someone I won't mention names starts recognizing where we are and thinks that they know the way home. Little do they know there's one way streets, and I can't turn down Mercer, so after a few out of the way turns and trips I find my way back to Denny and I drop Adalae off.
I then head over to Andrews and we drink some beer and a bottle of Pinot Blanc I had in my trunk. Good times and conversation are had. I head back to the Island, and on the ferry I see Susie Q. (Also known as Grant) and old bartender we had at my place. It was good catching up with him.
Overall, I had a really great day in total. Good food and company and drink throughout the entire day.
Today I'm off to Seattle again to have dinner with Miles at an Italian place our friend Andy works at so we'll see how that goes.
I suppose I have weird time for weekends. Anyone else enjoying the weather or having some great weekends?

Damn that good education, all that saying "thanks" for a compliment.
