My boss has now decided since it's slow and during the winter..I'm going to be pulling a lot of closing shifts by myself. That's fine and expected. For some reason during the winter I always have to work more, and harder. Irroooony! But! He has also decided to bless me with a "closing buddy" every night I close by myself. A wonderful quart of beer. I thought he was just doing it last week cause we were busy, but when he was leaving he walked into the kitchen and said "oh shit, I almost forgot your closing buddy"

Worked as a chef and restaurant owner for over 25 years, and I'll tell you what I learned in all that time. I'd far rather work for a prick who would never buy me a beer but paid me $45/hr, then go buy my own beer and a porche.
On a lighter note, you're clearly a Spumco fan. I worked for Carbunkle on the ill-fated spike tv episodes, and that was a fuckin blast!
