Fuck I'm tired.
I haven't felt this shitty without being sick in a long ass time. but it was all worth it.
I got off Sat. and headed to Lark in Seattle. A friend of mine manages the floor, and I haven't been in before so I wanted to give it a try. Great food. Squab, Poached duck eggs with matsutake mushrooms and liver toast, yellowfin tar-tar. All sorts of great stuff. Had 5 plates and every one of them impressed me. Well..I have my suspicions as for the eel. But I won't go into that. Great food. Loved it.
Then off to Vibrators.
I ended up meeting a girl at the show inbetween the bands. I missed most of the opening bands. But I did get to see the Dreadful Children. Really, fucking awesome. I was really impressed. Best opening band I've seen..since fiend fest. That hardly even counts. Moving on. Vibrators were great. They played Politically Correct, which made me quiet happy. At some point a fight broke out in the pit and they stopped playing and tried to clear it up.
Then it happened again, and they stopped.
Eventually they just played "Sheena is a punk rocker" to clear things up, which it did. Then White Riot. Overall from all the opening bands/them there was a lot of good covers. It was actually kinda nice for a change.
I'm so glad I got the chance to see them, even if it's killing my body right now. Made up for the shit-that-was Sham 69.
Afterwards I was supposed to go to Elias's but I ended up talking with the girl in my car until 4 in the morning. Soo I just drove back to the ferry, barely got any sleep waiting for it until 6 and got a few hours of sleep before work. I wake up to my coworker calling in sick, making my day that much tougher. I had one hell of a day.
