Heading home from our friend David's house, after a delicious lunch at Moon Wok and walking through the quarter, I look over at Justin and ask if he feels like getting a smoothie. He says he could "go for one" and we cut onto the S I10 service road and head towards the Clearview Palms, a little strip mall equipped with a Subway, Picadilly, Dollar Store, Firestone, TCBY, Blockbuster, Smoothie King, and ALL the old people in Metairie.

We pull up and I start trying to explain what I would like as Justin has voluteered to go in. Looking into Justin's glassy eyes I realize I'm going to have to go in anyway. So I shut off the engine and we head inside. After retrieving our smoothies, and fighting over some sesame sticks, we're heading to the car and Justin asks where my keys are. I realize they're not in my pocket, look into the window of the car and dont see them, then ask if he'll go back in and get them off of the counter. Must be where I left them, right?

Well, of course they're not and we decide they must be locked in the truck. Justin attempts to call AAA and sits on hold for about 10 minutes then hangs up. I take his phone and call Sprint's road side assistance, get right through and the operator takes my info and tells me the wait is 60 minutes or less. I hang up and as I'm trying to accept the fact that I'm going to have to wait an hour to get back into my truck, the clouds cover the sun and it starts to get windy and looks of rain.

"So really gen, how do you manage to do this so much?"
"Fuck you, Justin, I don't know, its all your fault, you distract me!"
"No seriously, do you know anyone who does it more than you."
"Shut up."

The lock out service actually didn't take very long and the AAA guy show's , (apparently Sprint can get right through to AAA,)and and asks how I'm doing. I tell him I'm fine, only locked out.

"What? You said you're embarassed?"
"No, I said I'm fine just locked out, I'm not embarassed! I do this all the time, this is why I pay for roadside assistance."
"Ha, awesome."

He unlocks my truck, and the alarm starts going off, so I scramble to my purse and start digging through the middle console. No keys.

"Fuck they're not here." The alarm continues to sound and I keep digging. Then they plop onto the seat in front of me.

"Oh here they are!"

Justin's grinning uncontrollably now and I tell the AAA guy thanks and give him my milage. (Why do they need the milage?)

We get in the truck and Justin is giggling and I ask whats wrong and he tells me HE HAD THE KEYS IN HIS FUCKING POCKET THE WHOLE TIME.

just say no.
