In Newport, Tennessee. It iced on the roads through the mountains. Both Hillary and I almost died. Hit a patch of ice, and skidded. We knew what to do, but we blanked completely. Too bad we're the ones with the Explorers piled to the top. We turned on 4WD after that happened. No one was going faster than 30 for the longest time, which I was thankful of.
The roads are still iced. Horribly iced, actually. Even though I saw a truck putting down salt last night after I got food for everyone. I think I'm the trooper of the group, since I'm the only one that's willing to drive on the icy road.
We saw a semi-truck that had 180'd going down a mountain, after that I had a full blown panic attack driving on the icy mountain side. Like the whole works panic attack too, crying, couldn't breathe. I had to call my sister to talk to me, because I knew having a panic attack going down the stupid mountain wasn't a good thing. And it doesn't help that I'm already afraid of the mountains.
I'll give the mountains this though, it really is pretty up here. But aside from that, it's really not that great.
I just realized though, I definitely don't want to live on a hill in Ohio. Because it's horrible.
