sometimes words doesn't cut it. All you can do is be there for them when they are ready to talk. Make sure she doesn't hurt herself either. Depression is bound to happen. She's going to want to spend as much time with her mom as possible.

Just be there for support. Suggest small meaningless distractions like going out for coffee.

Yup all about grades... but I'm sure you have plenty of time to weigh the pros and cons of each school. Living close to U of M I've heard good and bad about the law school here. I don't know if I would recommend it but then law school is just not my bag baby...

Buckle down and keep hounding them about the financial aid, It's all molasses until they start piling on fees for late payment ;0(

Hope you're feeling better. As to law school, my advice would be to go to school where you plan on living and practicing. While some of these schools have a national reputation, it's tough to go into a new area with a J.D. even from a well known school, and start to compete for a job with new lawyers who have been clerking and working in the local area. It may be cliched but, as with many other fields, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

I have taste of what your feeling, court is never fun for me... even when I'm in the right . I get worried that I'll say something and they will take it the wrong way. I totally blank out about details and it takes me about a day to come down.

As to the moving well moving ranks up there as one of life's most stressful events. Yup it's stressful and there are many things you won't be able to change. Just roll with it adapt to the obstacles use them to your advantage. Instead of everyone moving at once stagger the move lessen the stress. Gives you time to get back on your feet and plan for what you need.
