People are so hateful toward immigrants who come here. They say that the immigrants 'steal our jobs' - yeah seriously. I've talked to at least ten people in the last week who won't apply for those jobs because they don't pay enough...leaving them unfilled. They say the immigrants come over here and live off our welfare. At the store I work at on the night shift...99 percent of the people I see coming in to buy their junk food with their food stamps are overweight white people. Yeah, I'm being serious.

With those facts in your mind, I propose we do this. Why don't we all - and by 'we' i mean people who actually give half a shit about human life - band together and petition Mexico's government to make life easier for the human beings who live there. A large majority of Mexican people have no incentive to stay in their country. Imagine the tables were turned. Say our government treated us like shit and this country was a terrible, filthy, dangerous place to live, and Mexico and South America was an oasis, a free land with liberties, and a decent justice system (that's what many Mexican people think we have here). Wouldn't you want to cross the border and seek refuge? Escape? I'm certainly not saying we should just open our borders and let everyone rush in...I'm saying that if things were better on the other side...it wouldn't even be an issue.

Edit: Notice that I don't call them 'illegals'...no one is 'illegal' on their own planet.
