the last 2 days have been hammered shit.
i fell off my bike, burned my fingers, i haven't been following my diet, i forgot to set the alarm for Noah and he was 2 hours late for work, i'm broke as a mommy-fucking joke, so on.
i think i need a vacation, which is utterly ridiculous because i work a pretty menial job.
sometimes it's the average jobs that drive you the maddest.
my mom and sister are stateside until at least the 10th.
i've seen my mother once, for an hour, and the result left me pathetically drained.
it's like she had to tell me all of the events of the past year RIGHT THEN, or else she would DIE.
i love my mother, but she's difficult to take much of.
she's one of those people that always have to be the focus, the center of attention, the star.
she's gregarious and funny.
she's like this whirlwind.
that's the side that most people see.
but with the dizzying highs come the crushing lows, and that's the side that i've had to babysit and clean-up after for 23 years.
you've heard all this crap before.

on the upside, my dear brother is also coming to town for the week.
i haven't seen him since my wedding reception 3 years ago.
i hope this will be a good visit.
