so yeah...friday i turn 25. once again, a birthday in the desert, where i've spent three of the last five of them. and once again single (although this hasn't bothered me since i got divorced nearly as much as it used to to), and far the fuck away from all my freinds (that'd be you lot). but soon, if not quite soon enough, i'll be done with the military and all of this nonsense, and back home (read: the united states) again, probably for good.

so yeah, this week will be sort of depressing, but knowing that as it passes, that's one less to slog through on my way back toward freedom. still have no idea quite how everything is going to work out as far as living, working and school arrangements, but i've got a plan, so that's good.

and quite frankly, it's nice to have to worry (but not overmuch mind you) about something again. all i really had to worry about during these last five years in the army was whether i still had any of my last paycheck in the bank. now i actually get to do something other than work, relax, lather rinse repeat.

although i'll probably bitch about being a civilian as much as being a soldier, that's just me.

anyway guys, life here is ok, if not great, hope you all are doing well. later...
