so i get a call tonight at work. its my mom. she tells me that my cousin mathew (who's basically my brother) was stabbed 5 times and has been in surgery the past 6 hours. his friend got jumped and he tried to defend him and the attackers stabbed him in the bicep, thigh (in the femoral artery, no less), in the face, in the neck (jugular), and the chest....i think. i'm pretty hazy right now. i'm not writing about this for people's sympathy, but more to just get it out of my mind so i can go to sleep. its really scary.
