hey!! no, i'm not dead, just lazy with the updates, so here's a quick fill-you-in on what's been happening. last week, i went up to Blacksburg to take care of some stuff with withdrawing from school and also to play 2 shows with the band, Cyprus. one of the shows was at TOTS (Top of the Stairs), a bar in Blacksburg that would be really, really cool if it weren't over-run by fraternities, sororities, and other snobby, yuppy ilk. anyway, we somehow got entered into a battle of the bands at TOTS and were up against Blacksburgs best modern-rock wannabe's playing to a crowd of drunken kids straight from the waiting list to be an audience member at TRL. then, to make things worse, our singer broke his tailbone on the day of the show. great. so we got a friend of ours to fill in and ended up playing an amazing fucking show (5 friends of ours got kicked out for moshing; i hit 3 people in the face with my bass guitar; the new singer went INSANE; etc) and we actually won the battle of the bands!! we got $100 and bragging rights. fucking sweet.

i started my new job at the Saucony Factory Outlet in williamsburg the other day. its okay, i guess. i get free/cheap shoes out of it.

my rats have learned how to escape from their cage and climb down to the floor. they're crafty little fuckers.

i'm trying to start another band, based in this area (williamsburg, RVA, whatev). i have a bunch of songs written so if anyone knows a drummer, let me know. they're kind of Kiss'n'kills type songs.
