Wow! How time flies! I didn't realize a month had passed since my last post. All I can say is that I have been very busy on the weekends, including this one. I just got back from another weekend in NYC.

I have been spending most of my weekends in NYC. Mostly in the East Village, the Lower East Side, and Chinatown, and then sleeping at assorted friends places. I do want to thank all of them very much. I try not to overstay my welcome and do what I can to help out. All of them have been more than gracious.

Now I will explain the reasons behind my weekend excursions. A little over a month ago KW and I went to the city to visit friends and just get away. I had just returned from my cousins funeral on the wast coast and needed to get out of the depressed mood I was in. It was not planned or anything, we just wanted to hang out for a weekend and let loose. Our travels brought us to a small Italian cafe on East Houston called Gaia. Gaia is from Milan, Italy and and opened the cafe a little over a year ago. She was previously working with multimedia promotion and marketing, but her first love is cooking. And she is awesome at it! Well, my point is, having met this wonderful woman and talking with her I left her cafe very inspired. I also left knowing I had made a new friend and my tummy was full with her wonderful culinary creations!!! KW says she hasn't seen me so motivated in quite some time. So pretty much since then we have been going to the city every weekend since.

I have been bringing my camera equipment with us, along with several ideas. Nothing has been completed yet, but I am coming along. I am still learning quite a bit, and just talking to a lot of people. It's kind of like my very own Algonquin Round Table. Here is a bit of my early work. Please be kind, it is still in the early stages.

I do hope you like them.

We have been meeting some very interesting people on our journeys, and each one of them has contributed in their own special way, including the girl in a 17th century dress that we met on Allen St yesterday. She said her name was Abigail, but I'm not sure if she even knew what year it was. She was a lot of fun though, even if she was just a bit out there. We bought her a burger and a coke, she was starving. Maybe we will run into her again. hopefully in a more lucid moment. We also met some awesome artists in Tompkins Square Park, and ended up spending most of the night there. Thank god the food joints stay open late. We grabbed a bite to eat on St Mark's Place and then caught a little bit of sleep before heading back home. All in all, it has been an exciting month for me, and I hope it keeps getting better.

Next weekend our plan is to visit the Brooklyn side of the river for some ideas, but not before visiting Lighthouse Beach for some sunning.

It's been a little over a month since i flashed my humongous boobage, so here goes:

Hopefully, I still have your attention. We have reached the poetry section of my blog. Again, I do hope you like it.

Outsider

Do you know what it is to be an outsider
on the other side of the fence?
How alone you would feel, if excluded you were.
Does it make any sense?

Can you imagine the isolated soul
with no-one in sight to hear
the cries and the tears that your heart would shed,
and the constant, looming fear?

Can you see in your mind the life of a man or woman
without anywhere to belong?
Because a society judged them unworthy,
because they think theyre right, and theyre wrong.

Try and imagine the pain that youd feel,
with sneers and hateful words, and spit at your heels.
What would it be like if the gates were locked;
you couldnt get in, and you couldnt get out?

Imagine the feeling that youre worthless,
some dirt thats been stepped on by someones uncaring shoe.
Perhaps at that point its too much for your heart,
and you take your own life, to stop it hurting you.

Imagine this world, for maybe a minute,
after that you can stop; you dont like it, sure
but there are people who go through this every day,
and they cant stop it, unless theyre no more.

So when you hear of hate, bigots and death,
dont side with haters, cause thats how youve been bred.
Imagine how it is, or was for that guy or girl,
the one thats hurt, or lying dead.

So imagine the feelings and memories too,
of people oppressed, hated, abused;
Of people who lived outside of that fence
and what they came to does it make sense?
