Just stressing and packing this weekend. I will make this one a short one this week.
I am supposed to be moving next weekend, but the people who live there now had their closing postponed. My landlord has already rented my apartment, and now I am worried that I will have to put all my stuff into storage and go and live with my parents for a while, until my new apartment opens up. I put down 2 months security over a month ago, so I am so broke right now. This sucks! Sorry, I just needed to vent.
Winter
Where am I going to find another friend like you
I cry because you are not here anymore
and each time...each damn time it seems a part of my history goes along with it
the things only we could remember and share
should I forget
it will now be always forgotten
When is winter
sometimes it is hard to tell trying while to keep things frozen
with a poem, or a picture stuffed inside a book
Three words, Hey call me still froze in my machine
when the ice breaks...will I forget?
And who will I become
now that much of my history is gone this way
from all those I lost
I will be another nameless face in the crowd
someone who doesn't mean anything but how I made the grocery clerk feel
falsifying a smile as my turn in line comes
They don't tell you that about death
how a part of your own history a soul dies too
and from it comes this new sense of purpose
which is making memories
that simple time spent thinking it is all about something else
like Filet Mignon on special occasions
or graduations
or the good family gossip
I miss you deeply
and it hurts that I drove by your street without looking for your car in the driveway
I forgot to on my way somewhere else
and I do not know if that is good or bad in the scheme of life
I just know
that I feel this god awful sense of loneliness without you
and maybe that is how others feel around me sometimes
without understanding
how afraid of summer I am right now~
Cold, Cruel Woman
Some say winter is an old man
To that I say damn
I think its a woman whos so cruel and cold
And if you disagree, just wait before you scold.
To some, fluctuating moods run warm then cold
Never to be certain of her actions, even when cajoled
Others, less fortunate, always get the cold shoulder
Never knowing what they did to upset this fickle beholder.
Like an aging actress abusing the powder puff
Trying her lost youth to duff
Her thick cold powder cannot hide
The signs of decay, which are so wide.
Incapable of bringing new life
She chooses instead to bring out the knife
Cutting off so much life
Causing sorrow and sadness to run rife.
My advice, avoid her embrace if you can
Which means you should have a plan
To flee elsewhere before she approaches
Before her deadly cold embrace encroaches.
For if you let her hug or kiss you
You will have to say adieu
To warmth, sunshine, and color too
Are you prepared to let her take that from you?
As for me, I know my answer is no
I have no tolerance for this woman, although
Fleeing will be disruptive, I know
I will not let her attentions on me again bestow.

I agree with jim75. You've already payed, so you shouldn't be the one inconvenienced with moving temporarily and renting storage.
