Every day lately I've been getting to work and wondering how I'm going to make it though the day. Yaa, I know, people bitching about work is nothing new, so don't expect anything interesting or innovative in this particular blog. I have, however, calculated that I need to work for 27,000 seconds each day to hit the seven and a half hour minimum daily requirement stated in my contract. I've already resigned, and I only have 14 more days of work left, which works out to be 378,000 seconds that I need to be at work... Actually, that seems like a lot. I probably shouldn't have worked that out. Damn.

Anyway, my 'do this before you leave' task is to catalog all the documentation on the servers at work, stuff that no one has touched for years in some cases, sifting out what is relevant vs. what isn't. So mind-numbingly boring. I've been in IT for over 7 years and I end up with this shit-kicking job. If I had have known I'd get such a crap task I would have thought twice about resigning. Maybe. No, probably not. Instead I spend most of my days reading up on xbox games or practicing twirling my pen around my thumb and wondering if I'll ever have a job where I'm happy.
