The biggest difference is in the folding, speed of folding, and how small it folds. I think the dahon looks nicer unfolded, but the brompton is much much much nicer folded

Your supposed to have the same number of stiches on each needle. Do you have an even number all together?

Its really easy to space out, don't sweat it. You just move them from one needle to another. You want to space all the stiches out by 4. If you get one or two left over you can always knit 2 together.
