Decisions & Dilemmas
Decision regards weekend plans:
Option A - Rockin' house party with good friends which will end with me in a queen-sized bed with 5 women.
Option B - Tix to excellent band and opportunity to meet 'new friends'
Option C - Some combo of A&B but transportation issues must be resolved b/c the geek will not compromise on Guinness consumption.
Dilemma: How to get past the gatekeeper. Unfortunately, gatekeeper is not dim-witted so geek must be creative or the consequences will be painful. What excuse can she use for leaving the fortress on a Saturday night:
1) Sick friend - hmm, sick friend has been used much lately, sick friend would have to be dying friend which gets complicated when dying friend arrives on doorstep 3 weeks hence.
2) Work. Ahhhh, the work excuse is always good. Supervisor needs geek to host event (DigRAVE excuse ... worked nicely and night of tequila craziness, yes that was good). However, supervisor is not in town. Gatekeeper is aware of this fact. Risky.
3) Shoulder to Cry On. Who can be getting divorced? Believable. Not too far out there. And there is ALWAYS someone in the friend-bank getting divorced ... leaning in this direction.

And as for keeping the band in their - if I've learned one thing to date, never rule out the sure thing (band actually playing and associated good times) over the potential fantasy come true (5 girls in bed). Course this relates to me, and somehow I expect your probability for success with Option A greatly exceeds mine
