Carter to Gore: Run, Al, run
Al Gore isn't running for president -- at least not yet -- but he just picked up a pretty good endorsement anyway. In an ABC interview to be aired Sunday, former President Jimmy Carter says he's been begging Gore to get into the race and that he'd support him if he did.
"If Al should decide to run -- which I'm afraid he won't -- I would support Al Gore," Carter tells George Stephanopoulos.
Carter says he's "put so much pressure on Al to run that he's almost gotten aggravated with me." The last time the two men talked, Carter says, Gore "almost told me . . . 'Don't call me anymore.'"
I am a total perv. thinking of those two talking all chummy on the phone gets me hot. or maybe that's what hope feels like.

Yeah, I actually scaled the side of your building just to get a picture of your office, but realized half way up the building that I was totally afraid of heights (that's true, by the way), so I just jumped off, parachute in tow, and let the breeze take me wherever it pleased... I ended up half way up the block and just took a picture from where I landed.

Oooh, I just found out that there are two Clementines by the Decemberists. One is on their first CD, which is the one you were probably talking about, and the other is the cover that I was talking about which only exists on the Elliott Smith tribute album. It's still a really good song though! I haven't heard Castaways and Cutouts yet. It's next on my list.
