THE GOOD NEWS: Yesterday was a long day, but class is over. This was, by far, one of the best classes I've taken in regards to the use of firearms. Not only did it go into tactical use and safety, but also the emotional and legal repercussions. Pistol qualification wasn't an issue. I would have rather had a three inch primary group than six, but the important thing is that I qualified.
THE BAD NEWS: It's going to take me 8-10 weeks to get my DPSST armed card.
In the mean time, I'm going to see what I can do unarmed. The company I'm applying with does have a few unarmed clients. I know they have a few nightclubs. Soon, though I should be working executive protection and I'm going to try out for their Force Protection Team. Yesterday I met two other people on the FPT. I'd heard a couple stories about 'Little Tim.' He's not so little! He's taller and bigger than me! Ziegelsteinscheiehaus!
