If idle hands are the Devil's playground, then I am further from trouble than I prefer to be. I guess I'll have to try harder.
I've been busy making stuff. Friday, I made a black wool kilt. It's not tartan, but I didn't want to screw up some very nice Ancient Hunter, as in Clan Hunter, tartan 13oz. wool from Scotland! For what I paid I'm gonna have a prefessional make that kilt. For my first attempt at a kilt I'd say it turned out all right. I have yet to press the pleats, but I need an iron. Oh, and an ironing board too.
Friday night I wore my new kilt to Embers (anyone who wants an honest opinion of how goofy I looked, ask molonel) and remembered why kilts and sporrans go hand in hand. No freakin' pocketses! So, last night/this morning I made myself a rather nice leather sporran. I wish I had a decent digital camera so I could show it off.
I have a Utilikilt, but I'm thinking my next project may very well be my own rendition of a modern practical kilt. Hmm, but what colour to make it? Periwinkle, mauve, or maybe blaze orange camo? Any suggestions? Seriously. I just don't know.
(P.S.: I was kidding about those colours.... well, except for periwinkle.)

Aaargh! Utilikilts kick fucking ass. There's a guy at my school who wears one and he wouldn't be hot if he didn't wear it. The powers of the utilikilt transform his hotness level from 1 to 18 out of 20. Excellent.
