I haven’t shared on here but i currently have 0 tattoos…. So I have kept designing but never been happy with any, so I have finished an initial sketch of my Viking / Norse theme tattoo and would love some feedback.
it is comprised of 4 components
1 - Yggdrasil- ~Norse Tree of life depicting the 9 realms of the world depicting the roots (the underworld) working its way through the realms including the land of the Giants to Asgard in the branches and the land of the Gods
2 - Odins wolves, “Geri” &”Freki”, meaning “the ravenous” and “The Greedy”
3 - Horns of Odin, which in current day translates to a symbol of wisdom and Inspiration, which i think relates well to the wolves
And finally
4 - The Norse compass, Vegvisir, which has 8 lines that are mean to help the wearer stay on their course, it was often used when the vikings would go on long sea voyages
