Travel… it broadens the mind… it opens new experiences and there’s some awesome places out there.
I thought I’d spend some of the depressing quarantine days thinking about the best places I’ve been and the places I really want to visit!
I’ve been extremely lucky that I have visited many places and even lived in some foreign countries such as Germany and China (which I will write a whole blog on).
I will work back through some of my most recent trips.
1- New York City, USA
This is my most recent holiday, unfortunately I was on my own but the place doesn’t sleep and it was not difficult to start conversation with people!
Visiting iconic places such as Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Maddison square garden and the Brooklyn bridge just to name a few! As I was there at Christmas I even got to see the famous Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center!
2-Vienna, Austria
I’ve only made a couple of quick visits to Vienna to visit a friend. But I love the city each time I have been!
3-Phuket, Thailand
What can I say, 2 trips to Thailand and both were vastly different! The first was a ‘lads’ trip away, drinking, partying, & generally doing crazy things. Visiting some of the famous shows. And the second was a nice quiet week away at a stunning resort, next to the warm blue water and visiting Phi Phi islands which were amazing!!
4- Singapore, Singapore
One of my favourite trips, the Formula 1 weekend in Singapore. Stayed in the famous marina bay sands hotel, with a huge infinity pool on the roof! Amazing people and to experience this city on F1 weekend was out of this world. Made it into the long bar at raffles hotel, the birth place of the Singapore sling cocktail! This truly was a once in a lifetime trip.
5- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Another Formula 1 weekend away, this time to the last ever Malaysian Grand Prix. This was a fun trip and great city, found some great places to part and visited the Petronas Twin Towers.
6-Boracay, Philippines
Originally meant to be a relaxing week that ended up being a party for 5 days. Amazing ATV and jet ski adventures around the island, beach front bars, 15 shot challenge. It’s a stunning place we also had a stop over in the capital Manila which we had a fun time!
7-Vancouver, Canada
Had an amazing time visiting family out there with the most random fun day of life (that I may do an entire blog on). It’s an amazing city with some amazing sites! A visit up to the mountains near squarmish & whistler, wild bears and just fantastic scenery! I would love to go back!
8-Dallas, USA
This was a brilliantly fun time with some friends living there! It was fun shooting, beer drinking, pick up truck driving, sport watching & food eating heaven!
9-West coast USA
Myself and 3 friends travelled around the west coast of America and has an amazing time. Visiting San Diego, LA, Hollywood, Laguna Beach, Santa Monica, Las Vegas and San Francisco! What an amazing trip!
10-Seoul, South Korea
Had a great long weekend in the city, visiting palaces, markets, temples and the DMZ. Finding amazing local bars and having authentic Korean BBQ which is simply amazing!!
11-Marsa Alam, Egypt
I was lucky enough to go on a diving holiday to Egypt, it was amazing seeing all of the wildlife on the reefs. I swam with Tiger sharks, dolphins and turtles!
We also had visits to Luxor temples and the valley of the kings!
These are a few of my trips. I have been to many other places such as Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, Italy, Greece & Spain to name a few! I feel so lucky to have been able to do so.
There are some amazing place around the UK as well.
1-Scotland
On a recent visit up to Scotland, I was in heaven! Glorious scenery, amazing food and beer, but most of all visiting some amazing distilleries and tasting some amazing whiskies!! (My two favourites Oban and Tobermory whiskies)
2-Lake District
Amazing coastline, and some stunning lakes. Amazing fresh food and drink! Just getting into the quiet of the countryside was amazing!!
