Insomnia sucks! I've always been a night-owl by nature, but for fucks sake it's 4am! Once I finally crash I can get a good 8-10 hours lol but my brain will not shut off to let that happen. I used to smoke copious amounts of weed, and that seemed to help, but for some reason, after eight years of smoking, it turned on me and I started having panic attacks. For anyone who has never had a panic attack it really sucks. The symptoms are very similar to those of a heart attack. ie. racing heart, shortness of breath, tighness in the chest, nausea, and an overall sense of just not feeling right...like you feel like you could die. I attribute these attacks to my use and abuse of all kinds of substances imaginable when I was younger. You name it, I probably did a lot of it. Well, never heroine, or meth, or crack. Those seemed crazy, even for me. I had a lot of fun in those days, and and will never regret anything, but children......drugs are bad mmmmkay.
Anyway, I had health insurance at my old job, and a scrip to help me sleep, but that restaurant got shut down by the company that owned it. Basically, it's run by a bunch of idiots who have no idea what in the hell they're doing. When I started working there we were doing way more than a million dollars in sales a year. Six years later...they closed 10 of the 12 restaurants they owned. So, the new place I've been at only offers Aflac (which is shitty by the way) Now I have no medical coverage at all and can't afford to buy my own right now. I guess I'm thankful to have a good job though. So many people don't and are in way worse shape than I am.
