Thrope reached forward and keyed in his Union operators license and the image froze for a moment as the computer processed the information. Thrope was slightly surprised that the woman had brought along the computer, members of the Union still relished in the use of paper during their business arrangements.

With the license sequence complete the images changed to show a several sheets of paper hanging suspended in the air. Thrope glanced over them quickly, making not of any changes to the typical operating contract. The Union, being a bureaucratic nightmare, tended to change their contracts almost it seemed from day to day. With a grimace Thrope noted the payment allotment but rather than protest pressed a small device into the hovering image. The device, a sort of digital lawyer ran through the contract searching for any keywords
