Five-Minute fiction - 18:26-18:31
It all comes down to a matter of perspective, Grim said as another bullet whined its way through the archway.
I felt that one, I actually felt the wind move behind that one, Darker said from where he sheltered in the lea of said archway. And, hold on, what do you mean its all comes down to perspective? What perspective? The perspective that hes shooting at us? How much more cut and dry can things get?
Well, we arent really sure, and cant really be sure, at least without asking, why he is shooting at us.
What? Are you telling me that we should take the time to inquire as to why he feels the need to shoot at us? Darker said. How do you suppose we do that without being filled full of bullets in the attempt?
Like this, Grim said. He shifted position and leaned the tip of his knife around the edge. In a non-practical sense the mirrored surface of the knife should have given him the perfect view of the man, or more appropriately guard, as he scuttled away and behind some crates left over from a delivery. Had the blade not been blacked out (to aid in the sneaking) Grim would also have seen him madly reloading while fumbling for his whistle
