Why would you want to help us? Surely you have agents, Grim said gesturing to the two men as examples. Why not investigate in your own manner, using your own resources rather than relying on two men you hardly know, and seem reluctant to trust.
Or is it that your men are already gathering as much information as they can and cannot keep up?
Precepts Mons sat for several moments, his eyes fixed on Grims. Grim stared back. Looking away would be tantamount to backing down and he needed to gain some ground with the First Aetor.
Yes. You are correct in your supposition. I have only so many resources available to me, and they are stretched thin in trying to deal with so many problems. However, that is not to say that they cannot deal with you if you and your compatriot become problems yourselves. I am far beyond making idle threats of physical violence, and while I detest such barbarisms I know that sometimes such actions are necessary. Do not take what I tell you lightly.
