Five-Minute fiction - 00:42-00:47
Its hard to describe. That feeling you get when you see the woman you know youre going to marry for the first time. Its especially difficult when said woman is pointing a pistol at you, and apparently knows how to use it.
I met Martha, if that is her real name, while on the job in Prague. She was beautiful. It was the first thing I noticed, all right, second thing as the pistol right under my nose was a little bit more of an attention grabber. But that isnt to say I didnt notice her, because I did.
Beautiful. Its about the only word I have to describe how she looked. I could choose from any number of synonyms but using them would simply be belabouring the point. Martha was about five-foot seven-inches tall, with dark brown hair that hung just past her shoulders, or so I surmised. She wore it pulled back in a ponytail, the tautness vicious. Her eyes were a icy blue and they glinted with something akin to lustful malice as they looked into mine.
I could say I wasnt scared of her, but that would be a lie
