They called them Bully Boys. A sad result of the current upswell in middle to upper income families combined with more modernized forms of medicine. Together the two produced a rather detestable group of vagrants prone to preying on the weak and staging elaborate bloody battles in the street.
No one is really sure when they began to take hold. But slowly, surely, the groups collected territory. First a small piece here, a tavern, inn, or meeting hall, then another piece here, maybe a little larger. Soon whole blocks were being swept up in the Bully Boy revolution. What is there to do when your family, and your livelihood are threatened by up-jumped brats with penchants for violence.
In the beginning the police made some head way in securing property from them, but the one thing the boys were was smart. They changed tack. Seizing land, property, people that the police, and the City deemed to be undesirable.
