Journal Entry 01
The first meeting with the crew was an unparalleled success, or at least Id be willing to say it was. The meeting was convened at the Boisterous Club in downtown Sharpshire with the majority of the crew in attendance. A few of the bilge-rats as a number of the others have called the other, less-skilled crewmen, did not need to be included in the meeting, and as matter of fact the majority of the crew will be hired just prior to the voyage. This precaution is an attempt to keep the purpose of the mission, or adventure, a secret from the world.
Though I have some doubts if such secrecy is possible.
Nevertheless, the Boisterous Club is a wonderful facility, until it recently it was a Gentlmen-Only club, but the recent swing in gender politics have meant that a number of the old, well-to-do clubs have opened their doors to the fairer sex.
I was thoroughly pleased to, in my early arrival, to meet a young woman studying to be archaeologist.
