Journal Entry #27:
Today, we began the first approach to the falls; the so-called Veil. The air was thick with the spray from the torrential rush of the water. It hung low obscuring much of the waterfalls majesty. It did little to stem the roar however.
Stockton commented that the low-hanging clouds created by the spray make traversing the Veil difficult as many of the obstacles concealed within the water, are further hidden by the mist. However, Captain Dunwright decided we must press on.
The Admonition is an agile craft, despite its size and the crew managed to handle it capably into the jaws of the Veil. Water cascaded down both sides of the cliff face until it seemed as if the whole world was nothing but these roaring columns of churning water. I would be lying if I was to say I was nor afeared for my life.
