Grim stared into the limpid brown eyes and thought them to be the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, except for the fact that they were attached to a rather large creature of the canine variety. And it was grinning.

There was never anything right about a dog grinning.

Its all right, Ill just pull you back up, Darker said. He tugged on the line and Grim felt himself start to rise into the air. Dogs cant look up, Darker finished just as Grim would have passed out of line of sight of the dog, had it not been able to look up. It promptly raised its head, looking up.

Its sickly pink tongue lulled out of its mouth, providing a contrast to the brown fur, however, not as stark a contrast as the glistening line of teeth that gleamed in the moonlight. The dogs head tilted to the side as if the creature was trying to determine what was to be done with the human that floated over its head.
