So we outta here on Feb 2, futzing in KL, wandering our way up through Phuket area to Bangkok, then I'M SEEING MY BEST GOOD FRIEND IN TOKYO!!!!! A whole week of shacking up and gettin' naughty in Tokyo. I wonder if I should weight my backpack down with vinyl gear.
I wonder if I can do Tokyo for a week with ONLY $300.
Okay, before you think you're mucho jealous, this is the first friend from home I'll have seen in a year, and that's the reality of my life. Missing decently cool people and culture and having life be generic and dull in some backwater country - while you all hang out, have fun and share everything and have a scene the whole time. And then I get a "nifty" break for max one month out of two years. Smelly poor people and cockroaches are not all they're cracked up to be - "exotic" blows sometimes.
