Ok so here's the deal with Singapore and this is uber-personal but deal with it or don't read it.

So the whole reason I had to go was because in the course of complaining about one breast lumpy kind of thing they found 3 here, so they had to send me to fine needle biopsy these things. Required as I have a medical clearance to maintain. For those of you who don't know it's an in-office, awake thing where they take a needle and gather the tissue to biopsy with the same finesse as a hotel maid with a vacuum. The other biopsy option is several thousand vs several hundred $ and involves anesthesia and whatnot.

So, upon getting a first hand display of my fear of needles, this doctor and the embassy doctor decide I'll be able to deal better doing the $$$ hospital version - which is no more telling really, just butt ass expensive - and I'm on reimbursement and credit cards here! So I have to deny consent and yell at the embassy doctor saying I literally CAN'T (and on principal won't) pay for it, and WHERE was the 20 cents of valium and grit you teeth version I was promised? So I finally get go back and do it that way (valium and sake... WHEEEEE - wait what? owwwwww....) but have to fight for the privilege of the conscious but cheaper version not once but TWICE, as doctor nice-guy doesn't biopsy all 3 in one go because I'm "too upset". I was not screaming or jumping around, just some weeping and nervous owwing. Valium necessary for me, but I really wanna know what patient went smiling through that whole thing. And there's not a nurse in America who doesn't have a "toughen up we have to do this" routine all planned out - what's wrong with these guys? mad

But in any case everything turned out fine, I don't have cancer or anything, just bruisy boobs now blackeyed and i should lay off caffeine, alcohol and chocolate (geez anything else doc? How 'bout desserts, long hot baths and sex?)

On another note, Singapore RULES!!! It's cheap to get around and do stuff, it's clean and safe as all hell, and there's tons to do. OK so I shopped mainly, but I also learned the fine Chinese art of tea drinking and why so many Chinese brides serving tea to their mother in laws for the first time are so fucking nervous, got to see some bonsai gardens, a Taoist temple... Ahright this is getting really fucking long. Back to chat...

First of all, I'm immensely happy to be able to read your personal life, and even more happy that you just have bruisy boobs. smile

Second, I'll take note about Singapore as a place to possibly visit in my lifetime....sounds like a very wonderful place.

Lastly, I'm glad you're back, because I still desire to know more about you.

*big hugs*
